Dawn's artwork is about self-expression, inspiration and creativity.
Her passion is crafting beautiful, affordable pieces for everyday homes.
The works are typically abstract, allowing form and colour to evoke a certain mood or atmosphere. The materials are acrylic on canvas and at times they incorporate vintage paper and reclaimed wood.
Dawn believes that choosing art is an important expression of our identity. What you display on your walls tells a story. It gives the world a glimpse of what moves you.
There are times when work, life and family zap our energy but at the end of a long day you can look at a beloved painting and remember who you are.
“I might be a tired Mummy in my track pants but inside I have a feisty, artistic soul.”
Art is a luxury we all deserve.
Dawn blogs about rediscovering her identity, through creativity, after becoming a Mum. You can read more about that messy journey on her website.

Where do you get your inspiration?
"Abstract expressionism has always been my favourite genre. I grew up wandering around art galleries without knowing much about art history. I loved the way the forms and colours made me feel and how they could evoke a mood. I seek inspiration now from the little things in life."
What has been your favourite piece and why?
"I made a giant painting for my own living room because I could not find anything affordable in the size I wanted. My husband built me a custom frame and I went to town! For colour inspiration I looked at a fresh bouquet of flowers he gave me."
What is your favourite material to work with?
"I love how acrylic paint dries quickly and that I can build up textures. I often finish a painting in one sitting and acrylics give me the freedom to be tactile, expressive and create layers even if I don't. Sometimes I also include mixed media materials."
If you were to expand your product range to something entirely different, what would it be?
"I dabble in photography so it's a real possibility that I may start to include more prints in my store but if I had all the time in the world I would learn more about furniture making and take up sewing too!"
Describe your products in three words...
"Expressive. Colourful. Abstract."
