Geoff designs and creates functional and fantasy decor items in copper, brass and glass at his workshop in Charlton in the Victorian Mallee.
His most popular lines are Steampunk and Industrial style lamps, mirrors and clocks, some feature conservative and elegant design features while others are pure Steampunk in character. Geoff also produces a range of Steampunk top hats and other Victoriana styled head wear for those wanting to make a fashion statement or to wear as part of a promotion or cosplay.
His other fantasy creations include Steampunk style ray guns all beautifully handcrafted in brass, copper and lacquered or oiled timber.
Geoff and his wife Trish have a Bricks and Mortar outlet in Charlton's main street close to the Avoca River bridge as well as an Etsy shop and a dedicated website. They both spend time searching for recyclable material and interesting objects to incorporate into Geoff's unique designs.
Steampunks don't take themselves too seriously so many of his designs have a quirky or unusual element and each piece is unique.

Where do you get your inspiration?
"I usually find a ‘starting piece’ among my collection of treasures and work from there. I like my pieces to look functional so I often design as I go in a rather ‘Heath Robinson style’. Other times I have a particular finished look in mind."
What has been your favourite piece and why?
"I think ‘The Emerald Patent Coffee Producer’ is my favourite piece so far. Once I had found the Jardiniere style body the rest of the design just seemed to fall into place. The ‘machine’ looks as though it might actually work and really intrigues most admirers."
What is your favourite material to work with?
"I love the durability and the character of the copper alloys and use these predominately. Occasionally I use cast iron where it fits in with the Industrial or Victorian Era design and coloured glass elements show up now and then."
If you were to expand your product range to something entirely different, what would it be?
"The mad inventor Heath Robinson has always been a subtle influence in my work and I would like to experiment with Steampunk kinetic sculpture incorporating robot technology together with a Victorian Science Fiction design."
Describe your products in three words...
"Unique. Eclectic. Durable."
