WARP + WOOF NOTIONS
Warp and weft (or woof) is the technical name for the weave of the fibres to make cloth. Warp is the length way fiber that the warp, the fibre running across, weaves through.
Warp & Woof Notions is about homewares, accessories, handmade supplies that has fibre as the main element. An art school graduate who set out being a pharmacist while sewing for a hobbie, bound to be some alchemy here, in a warped woof way.
Warp & Woof Notions can be seen as one woman's creative encounter with fabric repurposing them into soft furnishings, trims and other haberdashery notions. The main Right Angle is that all the fabric is thrifted and recycled right down to the packaging and all the way to using hard rubbish as props... also employing local business services for printing required.
Repurposed and handmade, small, medium and large to suit all budgets and tastes with items starting at $20.

Where do you get your inspiration?
"I'm lucky to have absorbed the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s in all its different aesthetic progressions from clothing to decor. While pictures can be inspiring, my most satisfying moments is when two pieces of fabric accidently fall together and look amazing. With excitement, an idea is born."
What has been your favourite piece and why?
"The set of three Velveteen French Toile cushion covers. I found a piece of velveteen at a holiday market stall and brought it back with me promising to give it a new life. It was nearly upholstered on a chair but I decided to honour the context."
What is your favourite material to work with?
"Calico, drill - so easy to manipulate by hand and the sewing machine loves it."
If you were to expand your product range to something entirely different, what would it be?
"I would venture into accessories and clothing."
Describe your products in three words...
"Eclectic. Quality. Handmade."
